Hello,

According to this data, Laramie WY had 122 new cases on 5/20. However, according to the Wyoming County Dept. of Health (https://health.wyo.gov/publichealth/infectious-disease-epidemiology-unit/disease/novel-coronavirus/covid-19-state-and-county-dashboards/), on the Laramie dashboard, there were only 5 new confirmed cases on 5/20. There appear to be some other discrepancies as well - the numbers don't match up day-to-day. Could you explain why this is & how you aggregate data from this source?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Our data matches that of contemporary news reporting but we will contact the state health department for comment.

To your second point, the display on the Wyoming dashboard is by "Symptom Onset or Sample Collection Date" while ours is by date of report. The metrics used by the Wyoming Department of Health are subject to frequent historical revision.

Hello,

We have received confirmation from the Wyoming Department of Health that these cases were a data backlog involving delays in transmission of cases from a single health provider.
