Number of Cumulative deaths for Japan has decreased from 11/14/2022 to 11/15/2022 #6298

Hi,

Could you please check number of confirmed deaths for Japan - number has decreased from 11/14/2022 to 11/15/2022 from 4733 to 4723 which cannot be correct in cumulative series

Hello,

On November 17, we switched our sourcing for Japan from an NHK json source (https://www3.nhk.or.jp/n-data/special/coronavirus/data/latest-pref-data-max.json) to the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare. This was due to the NHK study going stale. The two sources were identical in cases (https://covid19.mhlw.go.jp/public/opendata/confirmed_cases_cumulative_daily.csv )and near-identical in cumulative deaths (https://covid19.mhlw.go.jp/public/opendata/deaths_cumulative_daily.csv) but had a slight redistribution of deaths between provinces.
