Hi,

I have a huge interest in completing this project: https://usra.cs.toronto.edu/public/project/320?sort_by=0&opportunity_id=1 for my CSC494 term. However I was dismayed to find out that the project is in an "archived state" (as per https://github.com/CSSLab/maia-chess/issues/32#issuecomment-997011181). Is this project really not being worked on anymore?

Thank you, Ibrahim

The Maia Chess project is being worked on actively. This repo is a snapshot of the code when we published the paper.

I have rewritten most of the codebase so it's no longer easy to update this old version. We have two papers under review right now and a few more papers planned, plus a couple things that will be more accessible to the chess community. And, as you've seen we're hiring people to work on it during the summer.

This is a scientific project, started as part of my PhD, so we don't have public code, or talk about the work until after a paper is published, this is an unfortunate result of computer science being a very competitive discipline.

@ibsmfar If you're on campus you can come by the lab sometime we can have a chat. My email is in a couple of places
