Document the Application Programming Interface in README #644

I see lots of documentation for the CLI but I don't see any documentation for the API, it would be nice to see this changed.

Ah this was done here, though it is hard to find.

It would be nice if this example were in the README.md.

@erikvold We'd love to see a PR for this with your suggestion. You know best what kind of info you are missing. If it gets detailed, please make a link to a wiki page.

Hi, just had to hunt down this issue to find the aforementioned programmatic interface documentation. I'd like to second that this should be added to the README. If @erikvold isn't around to do it, then I could.
