NeuLog Heart Rate Monitor is compatible with the NeuLog GSR, and so is being listed here for reference. However, from my understanding, the Polar H7 is a well supported device in Linux. FitBIt also seems to have pretty good support for developers. You essentially make requests to their FitBit Web API and receive a JSON structure containing heart rates from a specified point in time to another point.

A watch would be better in this use case because it will make the user more comfortable.
The heart rate monitor in the lab has a high chance of failure. Research and find a new heart rate monitor. Then add the heart rate monitor to the SERL item purchase list.
