FPA - Analyser Rail Fit Issue #16

Open CSaungsomboon-FTT opened 3 months ago

CSaungsomboon-FTT commented 3 months ago

There are issues with the rails that secure the analyser within the FPA instrument. The analyser is supported on the rails and is fastened at the front to keep it flush on the rack.

The Rails are too short such that they need to be packed between the cage nut and the rack with washers

The rails are not the same - the size and position of the holes is different between both rails currently next to the analyser in production, and of the 4 in total for the FPA, 1 does not match the other 3

Questions to answer for the solution:

Solution would be to redesign the rails to fit between the cage nuts and correctly line up with the analyser and rack holes

Two different part numbers and models found for the rails in Y162-4(FPA Main Frame Assembly)(R):

Y068-312 - in EFACS as Y068-3, CHASSIS RUNNER 10431-311 - in EFACS as 10431-3, CHASSIS RUNNER SPECIAL

C16620-530 is another runner - found in A11304-214 BOM for the Hydrocarbon Analyser

image I have updated the frame as per the Y045 drawing and inserted the different rails into the assembly - The holes do line up which tells me that it is likely that there is a manufacturing error within the rack or the rails themselves

Lee tells me that Aitchee has a stack of the Rack pieces already manufactured so this must be considered with the end solution
