The removal of a Verisyse Phakic Claw Anterior Chamber Lens with vitrectomy for Old Vitreous Hemorrhage combined with Placement of A Crystalens
Description
The removal of the Claw Phakic Verisyse Lens is eased by cutting the haptic "jaws" and removing the small bits of PMMA. Thus freeing the lens. Extraction is best done through a 6.5 mm scleral tunnel incision. It is best to then do the rest of the procedure through a clear corneal incision after suturing the scleral incision. Although an attempt to make a round posterior capsulorrhexis was not successful and a radial tear in the posterior capsule occurred. The vitrectomy and placement of the IOL in the capsular sulcus was uneventful.
