Slim - SCP75004; 3.11E: "The disc could not be read"

Hello,

so I tried to hook up a PS2 I got from eBay. Despite having issues with my OSSC and my HDMI matrix I was still pretty optmistic and hyped to play some of my childhood games.

But then FreeDVDBoot said "No", apparently. It's not possible for me to read the disc on this console. And I don't know why.

I followed the tutorial from MrMario2011: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9xIFI_k77U Of course I didn't only follow him, I also read the ReadMe on this GitHub page. I followed all the instructions until I put the disc in and this beloved message popped up.

So I tried almost everything I could find in this issue tab and also on other sites:

different DVD manufacturers ("Platinum", "ValuePack" & "Verbatim"; always DVD-R because I had them around the house)
different writing speeds (1x, 4x, 8x)
different burning software (ImgBurn, CDBurnerXP)
for ImgBurn: OPC ("Optimum Power Callibration")
unplugging all memory cards and controllers (and also USB drives of course)
turning the PS2 on by holding down the power button until the laser starts kicking in (in case the PS2 is modded, didn't open it yet)
different ISOs ("All PS2 Slims - English language", "3.11 only - all regions - English lang" (found in #174 ), "3.04 only - M+maybe other regions except J" (in case I was really unlucky))
played a movie DVD before putting the FreeDVDBoot DVD in (because apparently this somehow helps the laser to correct himself??? source: ReadMe)

... aaaand nothing worked. I'm just a bit disappointed how I spent almost 6 hours today to fix this problem.

Does somebody have any different ideas?

I wish I had a solution but I am having virtually the same issue. Have you had any luck with a fix? Just figured I would ask since suffering is best done with a partner lol.

FreeDvdBoot (3.11 only) doesnt launch any ps2 slim with modchip? i've tried many times Scph-75004 Browser 1.40 Ps Driver 2.00 Dvd Player 3.11E
