Console was made 6D

SCPH-77001 Browser 1.40 CD Player 2.00 Playstation Driver 2.00 DVD Player 3.11U

I have tried the "All PS2 Slims - English Language" iso, and iso burners PowerISO, ImgBurn, CDburnerXP, and the Windows burner, all at lowest speeds possible (usually 1x). and i use DVD+R and DVD-R. Both game and DVD movie disks work in the console, the reader does function. However the disks never read and in the browser it says that the disk can't be loaded. Any advice?

I had similar issues and had to drag the files onto the disc for it to work properly, then burn the disc once the files are dropped on. I didn’t have to change burn speed and used windows default burner to do it.

i tried copying the VIDEO_TS of the 3.10-3.11 version to the disk and burning it in windows explorer just now, didn't work tho. still says the disk could not be read

I want to help those who read me and also give information to @CTurt . Burning FreeDVDBoot to a Verbatim DVD+RW worked for me. I did it with ImgBurn at 4x speed.

That it worked on a PS2-Slim model 79001. DVD version 3.11U

I think what most people do wrong is use that 1x speed which just isn't real . The burner will just burn at it's minimum , which can be 4x or even 8x . Add a low quality media to the equation and i think that's why so many people fail . Use good quality media like Verbatim , it can even be +R if it burns at low speed .

After trying everything, this works for me! Although it no longer wants to read regular dvd movies, but reads my burned disk just fine so I have no complaints
