Console: SCPH-77001
Browser: 1.40
CD Player: 2.0
PlayStation Driver: 2.0
DVD Player: 3.11U
DVD Type:
Plexdisc DVD-R 4.7GB purple bottom layer
Burn Technologies: ImgBurn & CDburnerxp
Burn Speed: 4x & 6x speeds. Finalized & compatibility settings enabled in CDburnerxp. DVD burner lowest settings is 3x.
Problem:
Followed the guide for burning FreeDVDBoot for my PS2 slim. Cannot buy a x1 speed DVD burner. So that is why x1 speed is not used. Was able to read the disc one time on my system and it never read the FreeDVDBoot again. Put in a burned disc and it is not read. Used ESR patcher with a hybrid payload. The ISO was patched and on the compatibility list. The burned disc played one time with a little stuttering when loading a scene. Silver PS2 games and blue PS2 games tested before and after, both work. Multiple DVDs tested and all work as expected in the system. It is not clear if FreeDVDBoot is installed once it is run an a PS2 system and if burned discs need to be patched with PS2 ESR Patcher tool. I have a fat PS2 with a similar problem, will make a separate post. Any help is welcome, thank you.
