API--"Merge" switch doesnt work. The api always merge subsetted netcdfs. #35

Hello,

I am retrieving “Analysis and Assimilation” data using the subset api through a python script. The zip file that I get contains a number of folders for each day that I request as well as a .nc file with the same data merged together I believe. The script has a subset parameter of “merge” which I have tried to set to both “False” and “True” but the result is the same. I am hoping to only download one set of the data to improve the processing time if possible. Thanks for any assistance.

fixed on Tethys1 (apps, appsdev) and Tethys2 (hs-apps-dev)
