Improvement - would be good if the icon of the manuscript were a preview of the manuscript, which would give more feedback as to what manuscript it actually is.

We removed the thumbnail preview because the large preview of the manuscript was publicly available. If we can make the manuscript preview private and only visible to the logged in user who uploaded it, then we can bring back the preview.

I think this would require some back-end work to make it visible only to the user who uploaded it but still have the manuscript be available to anonymous users (e.g. someone following the download link in zendesk).
