I'm able to log-in now...thank you!! Now, I get this which has to do with my .bashrc file : bash: /usr/share/fsl/5.0/etc/fslconf/fsl.sh: No such file or directory giri@falx:~/Desktop$ fsl & [1] 96543 giri@falx:~/Desktop$ You need to set the FSLDIR environment variable to point to the FSL installation directory before you can run anything.

AFNI and Matlab works fine.

Thanks, Giri

kmcgregor123456 commented 5 years ago

Yes. That's related to the updates to FSL 6.0.1, actually.

The issue is that Qball1 is still on the neurodebian installation. I knew that you did most of your work on that machine, so I did not want to modify it, as you stated that the environment was satisfactory for your work.

However, if you want to switch to the new installations, we will have to update the .bashrc, which will require me to upgrade qball1, as well.

Let me know if you want to do the switch and I will make the necessary changes.

Sorry, I'm confused. I got the above message from falx. I prefer to use falx as well as qball1. Is that ok ? Thanks.

kmcgregor123456 commented 5 years ago

That'll be an issue. Qball1 uses the older neurodebian, which has not been updated in a while. The newer version of FSL 6.0.1 is installed on the higher capacity systems. I would rather update qball1 to FSL 6.0.1, are you in favor of this? If so, I can make the switch immediately.

I am not fixated on qball1. If it helps to update qball1, I am in agreement with that.

Also, I don’t ssh into falx from qball1. I typically log-in to falx directly.

My concern is with the fsl error I am getting on falx, and I want to use fsl on falx. What needs to be changed such that I can use FSL on falx ? Sorry, if my question was not clear before, but hope it’s more clear now…

GiriKrish commented 5 years ago

I would like to switch to FSL 6.0.1 so that I can be functional on falx, genu, ralph, lens etc.

kmcgregor123456 commented 5 years ago

It should be fixed now. I changed your bashrc to use the FSL 6.0.1 in /usr/local/fsl

I have installed FSL 6.0.1 on qball1 in the same location, so it should work. You just need to login again on qball1.

AFNI is going to have to be removed from the neurodebian, as well. It's nearly a year behind the current build.
