R, 20140731:

(Keith's switch interface is pending: Emory's network scripts haven't picked him up yet).

Cont'd: VA gave us access to the closet. @kmcgregor123456 and I traced cables from Emory switch (1670CLMT12A-S1) back to the patch panels. I added the patch panel jack IDs to my network inventory for the six hosts whose switch ports I already know (gigE 1/02, 1/04, 1/07, 1/41, 1/43, and 1/44).

That leaves the following switch port / patch panel jack ID combos to be identified:

ACTIVE PER SWITCH LIGHTS:

gigE 1/05 (PP jack 1267-2)
gigE 1/08 (PP jack 1259-2)
gigE 1/42 (PP jack 1218-1)

INACTIVE PER SWITCH LIGHTS:

gigE 1/01 (PP jack 12c110-d2)
gigE 1/03 (PP jack 1204 2/2)
gigE 1/06 (PP jack 1212-2)
gigE 1/45 (PP jack 1210-2)
gigE 1/46 (PP jack 1207-2)
gigE 1/47 (PP jack 12c171-d1)
gigE 1/48 (PP jack 12c171-d2)

T, 20140805:

Keith's iMac's current gigE mac address is now present in Emory's network inventory tracking, but the switch port information has not yet propagated per my.emory.net: "edge information is unknown billiing information is unknown, missing edge information"

I'll check back next week.

T, 20140826:

Keith's iMac gigE now shows up in my.emory.net. I recorded in our network inventory: 1670clmt12a-s1 gigE 1/08 , connected to patch panel jack 1259-2

Also I plugged my rmbp into my Emory port in 12c117. Appeared in my.emory.net, and I recorded it in our network inventory: 1670clmt12a-s1 gigE 1/05, connected to patch panel jack 1267-2

That leaves one active switch ports to identify, down from the original three (cf. June 21 comment):

gigE 1/42 (PP jack 1218-1)
