Bad formula causes plugin to be disabled #47

Hey,

I try to create a traffic utilization report by using this plugin. I followed instruction created all necessary measurands and report. However, after I clicked run report, this plugin disabled itself. I also attached log information.

The supported strings was correct and verified by another user I thought. That may be a different one though.

Now, I'm not able to delete a existing report as well. It pop up "Please at least select a report". But I do selected it.

I haven't made a change on this yet. But there is a 1.1.0 dev out. I'll probably look at this tomorrow night now that I've made those changes and upgrading work again.

OK, so I now know that the reason for this "you must select a report" error is because your report believes that it is already running. Therefore, trying to run it again, won't work. You should see a status of running and a padlock on the right hand side.

OK, so I've add some code to the 1.1.1 development. That should report the formula being used at time of shutdown. Give that a try and I've removed the spurious debug messages above.

Yes. Uninstalling removes the database tables. Do you have a backup?

There again, I'm not entirely sure because it looks commented out. However, the install may do something.

So, I can't stop the shutdown of the plugin occurring. But at least it now gives you some info as to why. i'm going to add a bit more code that stops those extra errors because it's really useless and annoying.

Thanks. I actually tried it again with a signal report instead of a traffic report. It works if I only create one measurand and use f_max, f_min.

@netniV I guess the corruption was related to the formula part. For the traffic report. I create a threshold variable first.(c1v) But it wasn't displayed on formula area when I create a measurand. And for MAX traffic, I was using maxRRDvalue. Could be that causing corruption? The tutorial was use maxValue for maximum traffic, but it wasn't on my formula area.

Good news, I've fixed #58 which should reduce the issue to the problem at hand in future. As for the formula area, can you export your template and attach it here ? I should be able to import and then have a look.

When you are editing your measurand, you should see it under the Variables section:

I'm also having issue to add email Recipients on a report. It just won't add it. Should I create a separate ticket?

There is already one for that. I'm not sure which it is and that's a longer fix to resolve.

Have you got the PDF you are following? Just so I can see if it's any different to one I'd seen.
