Database fields are being corrupted with 0 instead of '' and 1 instead of 'on' #53

Need to update the upgrade code to fix all these occurrences. It would appear a commit prior between 1.0.0 and 1.0.2 has reverted some of the functionality that was changed to utilise the proper '' and 'on' formats.

The upgrade process should now rectify this.
