When changing profiles, the wireless SSID selected does not change #61

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Change to a profile with a different SSID
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should select the wireless network based on SSID listed in the profile

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.2.3

Please provide any additional information below.

Attached documentation shows a scenario of trying to connect to different
networks.

CareerLink - SSID PACL-Classroom
MiFI - SSID MiFi4620LE Jetpack 0FF8 Secure
Computer Lab - SSID PACL-Classroom

You can see that I can manually connect to either SSID so we know the keys are
valid.

No matter which profile is loaded the wireless connection does not change.

Thank you very much for the detailed report.
When an SSID is specified in a profile, activating the profile will not connect
with that wireless network. It's the other way around: If the WLAN adapter
establishes a connection with the specified SSID, the profile will be activated
automatically. You're describing a new feature that might be implemented in a
future version and therefore the issue will remain open but as an enhancement
an not as a defect.
