A suggestion on how to handle changes to Entries. #379

The following is my suggestion on the procedure to deal with adjusting Entries.

1. Remove entries from quick edit, (as opening entries beside forms does not work - they easily become messed up).

2. Add entries menu link to the right of Mailer.

3. In full screen entries. Add a button for add entry a little right of Bulk actions button. + Add the standard top area that other top menu items like mailer has.

4. Move Bulk Actions drop down and Apply button all the way to the left. (It becomes similar to bulk actions used in post or pages.)

5. Make Submitted clickable to mark a entry as read or unread. Also add the option to the Bulk Actions drop down. Or another way of marking entries and read or unread. Or click a check flag on or off. Display the count at the top of the check flag column.

  1. Clicking View -> Edit Entry -> Add a button left of Save Changes: Add Entry and a toggle to mail admin (on or off). (Remove the top toggle from the mailer section as it only confuses since it is meant for the edit entry screen, and is not connected with the mailer.)

  2. Pinning entries. Create a highlight (entries) toggle beside the Export Entries button or some other place. To where the user can select to pin entries in the sidebar.

I have a very interesting idea when I rebuild the admin UI. I will take these into account when I get to playing with ideas.

Not sure if I have this added in another issue so I will just add it here. Have a kind of selection on which entries to see in the entries list. As sometimes one might want to see all the entries other times one might want to focus on just a few and compare to other entries.
