@New0 This works, here are a few things, I would like to see to improved:

• Remove the commented out code, we have git history to check how it used to be done.
• I'd like a is_numeric() check on $term. If true, cast as integer, if is string, apply same logic (create a new function) used on 581-591 to validate a string value. That logic rejects passing non-existant terms.

OK @Shelob9 , I actually was complicating things. I tested and it saves correctly multiple terms with ID, name or slug as value
