Need to:

• Make processor (extend the same class as other processors)
• Make processor UI
• Test that it validates properly
• Test that it sends conversions properly

Shelving this for now, here are research notes for future development:

There are two broad methods to implement this: via JS, or via PHP.

JS

• Requires injection of the script. The person trying to track AdWords conversions would have to first generate the script tag via the AdWords interface. We could then ask them to copy/paste the script directly, but this could cause issues when it comes to tracking transaction-specific values.
• It’s possible to generate the script such that it includes a function to be called to trigger the conversion; this would work well for us, because we could tie it to a JS event that triggers on successful form submission.
• Definitely could be some work from a UX/customer flow perspective. We’d have to parse the snippet they give us, or get them to parse it for us by extracting the individual values.

PHP

• High-level overview of the classes related to tracking.
• It looks possible to programmatically generate the snippet.
• The PHP API (GitHub) requires oAuth, and is not very well documented.
• Definitely seems much more powerful, but could be a lot of legwork to implement.
