There is currently no indication of which 'sets' have already been added to the tree. Either have a 'sticky' table at the top a la 'Lineage' style, or simply highlight the selected sets in their respective panels/tabels.

We could also show this in the main canvas as "Tags". Hovering over that Tag could also highlight all the nodes.
