Georgia has become a battleground for voting rights. Following record voter turnout, the state has introduced several laws that are prohibitive and suppressive, particularly to voters of color:
shorter mail-in ballot timelines
requirement to request for absentee ballot application
new voter ID requirements for mail-in ballots
fewer ballot drop locations
ballot boxes only in early voting locations
limits in polling locations choosing their early voting times
no voting on holidays (Columbus Day)
easier ability for individual to issue voter challenges
