Currently, the three components of the TakeTwo project have been copied over into this main repo, which means that this main repo is not up-to-date with the api, extension and data science parts. Further, it completely erases all of the history and the individuals who were a major part of this effort before October, when this repo was created.
As already discussed, we want to keep the three components in their own separate repositories.
Git generally deals with the scenario where a project depends on other ones with git submodules. This PR enables the use of submodules instead of just copying everything over. This is more sustainable long-term as we will continue to be working in the other repos.
