Changing share description on a NetApp C-Mode filer destroys ACL #5

If only a share description is modified (with Redo-NetShare or Set-NetShare) the ACL can render unreadable in the MMC console (only a Red X is shown with an error message). If the ACL is checked with Get-NetShare everything looks OK.

Many tests showed, that if the description AND the ACL is changed in the same command the error does not occur.

Workaround2:

The same actions on a Windows Server 2016 instead of a NetApp filer show no problems.

I still observe this very irregularly and I can't reproduce it. Please inform me if you got a similar issue.

This was probably a NetApp bug. Could not replicate it anymore with the NetApp Version NetApp Release 9.7P5
