Is this what I was supposed to do?

Given what you have learned about Git, why would you want to use Git in your classroom?

danhogan13 commented 4 years ago

I am trying to get my students to collaborate on specific small projects. Using GitHub will enable them to do so while keeping track of all versions of their work.

πŸ‘‹ Hey @danhogan13 ! Yes, this is exactly what you are supposed to do. πŸ‘

Hi Eric: On my organization settings there are instructions for getting our domain verified. I asked my IT people to make the required changes about two weeks ago. When there was no change a week ago, I sent them the instructions again and they put it up. What is the normal time for domain verification? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I got my class started on GitHub and despite my lack of knowledge we were able to stumble through together - with mistakes along the way - but good learning experiences. I will be back to complete the Faculty training. I think that actually trying something and have it fail is a good way to learn it - but having your training helps ease the path. :-)

πŸ‘‹ Hey @danhogan13 ! I'm not quite sure what you are referring to in regards to domain verification? Are you referring to students obtaining the student benefit using their academic email address? Or are you referring to upgrading an Organization to GitHub Team? Please let me know if I am way off. πŸ˜“

If you have any questions I would recommend sending them to our support line education@github.com (I practically live there, so you will most likely see me respond to your email).

It is great to hear that you have gotten your class off the ground with GitHub! Please let me know if you happen to need any sort of assistance by emailing me at education@github.com.

@danhogan13 unfortunately the screenshot did not attach through email. I would recommend uploading directly on GitHub.
