Refrigerator - Struggles to cool a full load #703

Skipper's Report 19-6-23 reports fridge struggles with a full load. Service required? or replacement? Skipper's Report 26-9-23 reports fridge shutdown for 2 days. Skipper's Report 20-7-23 reports fridge requiring resets - overcurrent/overheating? Skipper's Report 30-7-23 reports fridge U/S. Shuts down and restarts a few days later - leave it ON.

Based on the above, I would expect the Bar Fridge requires replacement unless a service can detect and rectify overcurrent?/overheating? fault that continues to plague skippers.

Dimitri emailed: "Good news is I’ve sorted the fridge issue for now. There was 20amp relay instead of the required 25amp in the fridge slot in the fuse panel. I installed a 25amp relay, and the fridge has been running for 24hrs, no issues"

Will keep a watch and close issue if no issues after 2 weeks.

Fridge ran continuosly during ocean crossing. Issue CLOSED
