We can look at what options we have on the port side cockpit. The genoa winch is not really an permanent option because if you end up on stb tack, the winch is in use.
Agreed Chris, please try to find a better solution.
For info, while on a STB tack we turned the reefing line around the top of the genoa winch and back to a spare winch. This is not ideal but it does work. If you can't find another solution we are happy to run with this one and have a clam cleat (or similar) installed.

Garth and Peter O ran the luff line for the 3rd reef down the deck to the port side genoa winch. This arrangement was quite successful on a passage where the 3rd reef was used frequently.
Please ask the rigger if a permanent clutch could be installed on the coachhouse for the 3rd reef.
If not, they suggest continuing to use the port genoa winch and have the rigger install a clam cleat or some other locking method on the port side.
