5 months ago This fault due to people putting their knees on the top of the motor while accessing components at the rear of the motor (salt water strainer, coolant reservoir, saildrive dip-stick). This cannot be allowed to happen again.
The motor has now been replaced so this is now a cautionary tale for the next engine. Notice to skippers required.

First noticed by Paul Baston in Port Stephens and recorded under Volvo routine maintenance issue (see #214). Seatech Marine advise that they can fix the problem by removing the heat exchanger and having a new flange silver-soldered on. They have all the parts required. They will address the problem tomorrow or Friday while Namadgi is on the hardstand.
@JCRowling will be interested as this is a potential show stopper if the repairs can't be completed
