Hi CORC Where currently back at Coral Sea Marina Namadgi is in fine form I have picked up the 500 amp fuses from MEW they would only take cash it’s the Whitsundays Way and no receipt Contacted Scott from Airlie Marine and has the relay for the Bow thruster, fingers crossed that resolves the bow thruster problem
Cheers Greg (Hall)
Bow Thruster: Status = Not Resolved, Greg is continuing to work on it
Issues: • After 2-5 seconds the bow thruster (either direction) is cutting out. • The two "Hook fuses" that are in there (active and a spare) are very corroded and should be replaced at some stage soon.
Actions taken so far: • Will got on snorkel and checked that the propellors are all intact and spinning freely (they are, spun them with a wooden spoon) • Called up Electrician on Hammo, who strongly suspected battery old and needed replacing. Spoke with Sam D and we decided to buy a new battery (old one appeared to be 2018). See pic of old and new battery • 5 days later at end of Wills trip, got an electrician in who suspected it was the control switch (see pic). He said that the brushes on the bow thruster motor looked fine, and that the buttons in the stern all looked in good condition (he pulled off the cover) • When Greg Hall took over, he got a separate electrician in who attempted to isolate the issue, Greg will need to update on that. • Bow Thruster Diagnosis - $185.63 - invoice 7537 - PAID and sent to treasurer for reimbursement • Battery for Bow thruster - $346.88 - See attachment - did this after electricians view was that the bow thruster issue was likely battery (turned out not to be the case). - PAID and sent to treasurer for reimbursement
