Re-install of packages #11

Closed CotterpinDoozer closed 3 years ago

Currently, the NORDCAN.R specifies that you don't need to install the packages several times if you have already done this one time. However, both Anna and I frequently encounter issues when trying to run the modules without re-installing the packages. It creates error-messages later down in the process (for instance when starting to compute statistics).

I see that the packages are actually installed (if looking under "packages" in R-studio), but the errors still appear, and they don't go away after I have run the "install packages"-part once more.

I am not sure what causes this, so I see two options: 1) Finding out why the errors appear even when the packages are actually installed (but not re-installed in that session) and then keep the information that the packages don't need to be re-installed, or

2) Remove the text from NORDCAN.R saying that the user don't need to reinstall the packages and instead write that the packages should be re-installed each time.

@CotterpinDoozer Could you send me the error messages? I didn't encounter that problem on my side.

I'm sorry, but I didn't save the error messages. I just experienced it several times.

I will try to recreate the problem later. Just let this wait until then.

I'm closing this case as I didn't experience this now. I will re-open or make a new task if I encounter the problem again.
