We are now implementing age-specific survival in nordcan.R.
The method chosen is to use the inclusion criteria for survival analysis stated here: https://github.com/CancerRegistryOfNorway/NORDCAN/wiki/nordcansurvival.
(Groups are analysed if minimum 30 patients alive at start with minimum 3 in any one of age-groups used for weighting)
We see from the tests run in Norway that some of the groups for age-specific survival end up being quite small (<5). We believe there is value for the countries to be able to calculate this survival and be able to look at it, and that the countries need to decide for themselves which age-specific survival results should be shown in NORDCAN for their country.
We have two options:
1) That the countries manually remove what should not be shown from the analysis-file sent to NORDCAN
