While the official Cantera documentation lists ICC (Intel compilers) as one of the compilers users can use, compilation using ICC is currently not tested using GitHub actions, where regressions, bugs and/or issues caused by compiler quirks are not caught in time.

Possible Solutions
Intel OneAPI compilers are freely (?) avaliable, see Intel OneAPI plug or project using ICC runner. There is likely more out there.
