I get the same internet speed with that latest aospx as I did with the
Inspire's stock Gingerbread. It is my understanding that HSPS+ is 3.5G, in
addition the signal indicator changes to "H+" when it gets a 3.5g signal; it
also goes to "E" for 2g and "3g" for 3g signals.
Inspire should have never had "4g" in its title.

Correct, HSPA+ is pretty much 3.5G, LTE=4G.
frmorrison, does it show the H+ icon with BR7? The only changes made in latest
release for HSPA+ was just adding H+ icons to SystemUI, it should be showing H+
instead of just H when connected to H+ network.. (it doesnt change anything
connection wise, it should just show the H+ icon now...I dont have H+ support
in my area to test personally).

I was mistaken earlier, I only see a "H" icon, not a "H+" with BR7; I have
HSPA+ service in Jacksonville with AT&T. I just see either E, 3g, or H.

Alright, thanks... But yea, as far as connection wise goes H+ should have
always worked, the code has been there for HSPA+ but it would just show H.. In
BR7 H+ support was added to SystemUI, but more may be needed for it to show up.

I can say that I have never seen it show H+ on BR7 either, and I have HSPA+
coverage here in Chicago.

Ok, so just to confirm.., HSPA+ connection does work but it still just shows H
instead of H+ in statusbar? So mainly its just a cosmetic issue?

Yeah, I get pretty solid HSPA+ speeds, so it's probably just cosmetic.

Im going to mark this 'Wont Fix' because technically by default ICS only shows
H/H+ as H in the status bar (There were no H+ icons in stock ICS source, just
H). Having it show H+ is something cosmetic, as H+ connections work fine.
Although im marking this 'Wont Fix', this will be addressed later once I figure
out what all else needs to be done, but technically this is not an issue, just
normal ICS behavior
