Cannot add Facebook sync to Accounts and Sync

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Open "System Settings"
2. Choose "Accounts & Sync" - Sync'd accounts shown
3. Choose "Add" - Several choices appear
4. Choose "Facebook"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The facebook app should open up, perhaps prompting for login/password (not sure 
- never tried it before).  What happens is that the Facebook splash page (all 
blue screen with "facebook" in center) appears and that's it.  If I leave it 
like this, the screen times out and the device locks, and when I unlock the 
phone the screen shows the 

What version of the product are you using?
BR2

Have you performed a full wipe/factory reset? (If not, then do so)

I did this prior to installing BR2.  I didn't try this prior to trying this 
specific activity, as I just installed BR2 (after full wipe/reset) a few days 
ago.

Please provide logcat ouput and any additional information below.
(logs required or I will discard the ticket.)

After a reboot, I was able to set up Facebook Sync.  Leaving this open just in 
case the logcat reveals anything useful.
