Feature Request: Remove dropshadow and highlight from Worldpainter themes. #300

The first screenshot is from worldpainter, the second from discord. Discord is much easier on the eyes in the way it transitions from one "div box" to another (that's the extent of my coding knowledge, I use it loosely as an example). The recent update adding those inverted icons in the dark metal look helps a lot, but in order for it to truly work, all those unnecessary highlights and drop shadows need to go too. Alternatively I'd much satisfied with a way to customize it myself, although I suspect I need some details as to how the GUI was written in order to do that. dropshadow dropshadow2

Hello, I was just coming here to search if anyone opened an issue with some of the icons, and to my surprise it has been! I just contributed dark theme icons for both dark metal and dark nimbus, and the ones you pointed out are bugged. The ones with the white shadows should be using the new icons, but they are not. You'll notice that the icons for "Populate", "Void", "Read Only", and the plus icon at the bottom are using the new icons, while the others are not.

I'm seconding this issue as a bug that the new icons aren't being used in all places that they should be. The ones that look strange have properly recolored icons in the application, but weren't loaded/ used.

What about the checkboxes to the left of the icons? And the boxes in which the icons sit? Basically anywhere there's a dropshadow or highlight, a more minimalistic approach like Discord would be better.
