Commemorative POAP for Earth Hour 2021, Making Ethereum mainnet green

Prize Bounty

500 USDC in total for this challenge (1st place - 400 USDC ; 2nd place - 100 USDC)

Challenge Description

As another great example of the kind of things that can be done with CUT, the second POAP we’d like to see submissions on, is a commemorative POAP of our event on Earth Hour of 2021. During that hour, we calculated the carbon footprint of the Ethereum Network, and retired enough of our Offset tokens (2.7M CUT) to make the entire mainnet carbon neutral for that hour. As with all of our POAPs we encourage broad freedoms in creativity, we remain open to any and all types of submissions!

Submission Requirements

As with all 5 of our CUT challenges at POAPathon 2021, we highly encourage freedom in creating your submission. How to represent a green event, the burning / retirement of tokens backed by real carbon offsets. Perhaps it's a focus on the elemental aspect of climate change impact, or the precision and measurement of fully analyzing and offsetting values. The canvas is yours! Inclusion of CUT logo, POAPathon logo, all possible - but not design requirements.

Judging Criteria

We want to communicate the positive aspect of making true impact, and concrete trust in immutable environmental benefits. Representing such invisible value, like destroying harmful greenhouse gas, can be difficult to relate visually - judging will be open to a combination of general visual appeal, and unique representations of climate impact.

Winner Announcement Date

Following the lead of the event managers, winners will be announced after the close of the Gitcoin hackathon window (Friday Nov 17th).
