Cool idea, I'll definitely consider it when I style the explorer view, which will happen once I'm fed up with the default style 😅 Since, I don't really see a good place to put it in the current explorer style.

Feel free to create a snippet to implement it yourself though! If you make something cool, show me here and I may be inspired.
