Grumpf I didn't see this one, I will have a look, thanks for the report
Downloaded Google Keep Takeout and extracted to folder. Installed Carnet from AUR (Arch Linux) Opened Carnet Chose Import from Google Keep (only on desktop client) Before I could read the screen a "Pick Folder" window appeared over it. No matter what folder I try to choose, nothing happens. I can browse through the folders. Try to choose the parent folder, the takeout folder or the Keep folder but when I click Pick Folder - nothing. Would like to import my Keep notes but having no luck.
Hi, nice work so far. This could be an excellent app with a few bug fixes.
I have this exact same problem as described by jjquin.
The "import from google keep" pops up a new window, then immediately before you can even read it, a modal dialog box pops up above that. At that point you can try "Pick Folder" but then it basically just hangs as the progress bars fly, but nothing else happens. You cant move or close the modal dialog box. No files are imported. Only option is to close the dialog. No joy.
OS: xubuntu 18.04
Here's a pic
I'm closing this since I've reworked the importer, you can always reopen in case of need !
The import feature does not work. I download the archive from Google Takeout, select it in Carnet, and this is the result:

This still seems to be the case. I have the exact same issue. Had someone success with importing?

OK, I got it after checking the source code of the importer!
The solution is:
The importer expects the folder structure in your Takeout zip-file to be "Takeout/Keep". However depending on your language settings at Google the second folder may have a different name. E.g. for German it is named "Google Notizen". The most naive solution is therefore to unzip the file, change the name of the second folder to "Keep" and to zip everything again. The import works now for me.
I have extracted the imported folder somewhere in my home, but,
The import windows just spinning around.
