Start with browser view does not work since 0.24.3

Describe the bug Writing up this report i noticed that the issue exists for all the settings basically meaning the Settings menu is broken.

Since 0.24.3 Carnet does not start in Browser view for me any more and the setting has been disabled.
When the setting is re-enabled it does not apply and will be disabled again if the page is reloaded.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to "Settings"
2. Click on "Start with browser view"
3. Close the Settings menu / reload
4. See that Browser view is still not the default and the setting is still disabled

Expected behavior The "Start with browser view" should work

The following appears in the Chrome devtools Console when clicking the "Start with browser view" setting

And the following appears in the "Issues" Section of the Chrome devtools as soon as i enter the Settings screen.
