We are the Mozilla Community Cuba. By definition, we do the same thing as other communities around the world. We are the voice of Mozilla in our country. We promote and spread the open web and the mission of Mozilla through our blog. In addition, we provide some services offered by Mozilla, due to the difficulties for Internet access in Cuba and limited bandwidth.

Somos la Comunidad Mozilla Cuba. Por definición, hacemos lo mismo que otras comunidades alrededor del mundo. Somos la voz de Mozilla en nuestro país. Promovemos y difundimos la web abierta y la misión de Mozilla a través de nuestro blog. Además, brindamos algunos servicios que ofrece Mozilla, debido a las dificultades existentes para el acceso a Internet en Cuba y el ancho de banda limitado.

Offline Innovation: Bridging the Digital Divide in Latin America

EN The Wikipedia Project for Online Education in Medicine uses "The Internet in a Box" device to store a digital library of medical information. It can operate without Internet access or electricity and broadcast up to 30users at a time, making it useful for rural clinics in Latin America and beyond, that lack conectivity and reliable electricity.

ESP El Proyecto de Wikipedia para la Educación en línea en medicina utiliza el dispositivo "Internet en una caja" para almacenar una biblioteca digital de información médica. Puede funcionar sin acceso a Internet o electricidad y transmitir hasta 30 usuarios a la vez, lo que lo hace útil para clínicas rurales en América Latina y más allá, que carecen de conectividad y electricidad confiable.
