user reports trouble logging in #142

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. attempt login

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
that the user is logged in successfully

user is able to login properly on the website

did a quick check again two users (both of whom complained of this on their
g1) and found that /user (which i'm assuming is what you're using to
authenticate) returns properly formatted data

seeing the same on iphone as well

looking into auth header issues
