Hello, I come from gphotos-cdp that I discovered few weeks ago, I would have been happy to find google-photos-backup and your fork sooner :)
I was working on my own fork (https://github.com/prigal/gphotos-cdp) to handle large libraries and I cherry-picked a feature to be able to restart download from scratch and skipping already existing/downloaded elements. I found this feature interesting because I would be able to launch a cronjob weekly to rescan for missing medias. Maybe it's a good idea to implement ? (but that would require to keep the url of the downloaded photo somewhere)
Anyway I was stuck dockerising everything and I found this project and your fork !
I'm actually setting up things, I will give you some feedback later !
