I need volunteers to translate and keep up to date the add-on into your language.

You can contribute either individually for your purpose or join the team of translators to https://github.com/add-ons/translations

Status of language translations

In this link you can find the status for each language translation and the current translators to: https://github.com/add-ons/translations/issues/7

Another option to verify the status of translations is check-translations on CI:

1. Open Actions page
2. Select Kodi on workflows entries on left menu
3. On the right appears the list of Jobs, select the most recent job of master branch (see date/time)
4. In the job page, select Addon checker ( ... ) entry on the left menu
5. In the dark status page open Checking language translations section, should look like the screenshot
6. Find your language file to see if there is some warning message The numbers after .../strings.po:xxx indicates the row numbers where the problem is. If you do not find your language file there, there are no problems to correct.

Just one simple rule

Each translation can be maintained by multiple users, it is mandatory to tag in every PR you propose every translator involved in your language, to give the opportunity to guarantee a review.

How to translate

If your language need only to be updated You can find the file language translation at this folder: https://github.com/CastagnaIT/plugin.video.netflix/tree/master/resources/language

Usually the missing translations are with empty string, example:

msgctxt "#30008" msgid "Login failed" msgstr ""

The msgstr is where your translation is to be inserted, and in this case it is missing.

When done you can submit your PR Any changes submitted may be pending until the new version is released.

If you want to add a new language You can copy the english language file, and write your translation in the each msgstr field https://github.com/CastagnaIT/plugin.video.netflix/blob/master/resources/language/resource.language.en_gb/strings.po

You also need to identify your locale language code and rename the file/folder name accordly.

When done you can submit your PR Any changes submitted may be pending until the new version is released.

the file inside is always the same... it's no a "po" file format

You're saving it in the wrong way, you're saving the web page not the file po..... so yes i received your github invitation, but this is not necessary for me I can see your public repository, now i look at the changes

Simple question. What's the purpose for View in Settings and what's the use case? I have never used it before.

Is similar to Viewtype settings, so each skin has it own. In the addon is possible set the view type permanently using the viewtype IDs of skin for various sections

I have done it for UpNext before, now I have uploaded it for inputstream.adaptive. The rest will be done during the week or weekend.

for the translator, some changes have been made in the languages for parental control before making a PR, compare new changes thank you for your time

A small suggestion: msgctxt "#30009" msgid "Please Check your credentials (user/password)" or msgid "Check your login data"

It will probably be easier to understand what's going on

There is a possibility to add your add-on to Transifex so everything is being translated by a team of translators. But it is unclear how this works.

It is free for Open Source projects. See: https://www.transifex.com/teamxbmc/xbmc-addons/content/ Not sure if Netflix can be added, and if this would be easy to integrate.

I will wait until i merge https://github.com/CastagnaIT/plugin.video.netflix/pull/338 ~(testers needed)~ it was necessary to completely rework of this functionality, I had not planned different data depending on the countries, this results in a change of the last IDs

See table: Dutch (Netherlands) nl_nl dagwieers is currently active, but if you want push last translations you are free to do

@Jantjuhhh It is always healthy to review existing translations and propose improvements. There is also a small divide between Flemish (nl_BE) and Dutch (nl_NL) which is easily corrected where needed.

I'm new to GitHub, but not to open source projects. I was a spanish translator of the K Desktop Environment aka KDE (a graphical desktop environment for GNU/Linux and other Unixes) long time ago. I can help with spanish language. However, I need some guidance to do this task. Thanks.

Search for the "language" folder, inside the project you will find the various languages es_es is spanish, to update compare whole spanish file with the english file as described in the first post

Sorry to keep you waiting, I have been a little busy. Finally here it is. It contains some corrections to original spanish translation. Since I don't know well GitHub yet, I have added the translated PO file as an attachment (zipped, because PO files are not supported). Before submitting it to the repository, please check the first lines (then you can safely remove them). Regards. strings.zip

Thank you boblo good job, so in your clarifications: the AddonSignals is written with no space for anyone try to translate it, should not be translated the other english error i can fix it

@CastagnaIT : I agree, "Addon Signals" is a package name and should not be translated, I have not said the opposite. I said that both words are separated by SPACE. If you saw this package name without it, it's a (tiny) typo. See this in Kodi Wiki: https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Addon_Signals
