Mysterious author name Matja (sic!) #635

Author name Matja is introduced in Mar 2024 edition in three datasets:

WoRMS Turbellarians: Bubalocerus undulatus Matja, 1990 Caridinicola japonica Matja, 1990 Caridinicola sinica Matja, 1990 Scutariella japonica (Matja, 1990) Troglocaridicola (Jeanbaeria) Matja, 1990 Troglocaridicola (Jeanbaeria) vilkae Matja, 1990 Troglocaridicola (Troglocardicola) Matja, 1990 Troglocaridicola (Troglocardicola) longipenis Matja, 1990

WoRMS Hydrozoa: Velkovrhia Matja & Sket, 1971 Velkovrhia enigmatica Matja & Sket, 1971

ITIS: Spelaeocaris Matja, 1956 Spelaeocaris pretneri Matja, 1956 Troglocaris pretneri (Matja, 1956)

In Feb 2024 edition, all of these authorship strings contained name Matjasic instead of Matja. Also all of these taxa had author name Matjasic in the search pages of corresponding source datasets.

It is hard to believe that this is just a coincidence and has nothing to do with cleaning of sic's in authorship strings in Mar 2024 edition...

Ah! Seems, I know what's happened.

It caused by the removal of "sic" portion (Latin for "so") from scientific names by the CLB software. Now @mdoering fixed the bug. Unfortunately, ITIS & WoRMS checklists were imported in CLB before that fix.

All WoRMS checklists will have a new versions at the beginning of April. I'll ask @gdower to re-import ITIS now.

Confirmed: ITIS is re-imported now and it solved the problem
