Propose new term(s) to Darwin Core to aid the changes in Kingdom #85

I understand changes in COL are being considered at the domain / kingdom level to better accommodate viruses.

In order to smooth the transition for e.g. occurrence record organization I suggest we propose a new term to Darwin Core of domain or realm or similar that will help system developers and data managers accommodate this. There may be additional terms that make sense and we can explore that on this thread.

The process to propose changes to DwC is described here and this can take some months, so we should start early.

It would be great if we could use a single term for both Realm or Domain, as they seem to be equivalent: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realm_(virology)

Other than that COL is frequently using subranks of the all the major Linnean ranks. In ColDP we have already defined terms for all of these. It might be worthwhile proposing them also for DwC.
