August Town Hall Retrospective

Discussion Points

• Slide notes about Presenter Name helped to update Agenda Doc and seemed like a great way to coordinate the name of presenter
• Unclarity where slides are coming from
• Most of the slides are coming in at the day of the Town Hall and edited before the Town Hall starts time, which can introduce mistakes and bad visual quality
• No longer wasted effort to create Town Hall Summary as the Intersect newsletter was a complimentary update

  Decision Items

• Include the Advisory Deadline when requesting slides
• The deadline is eight days before Town Hall day. This means all timely submissions are made before the TH Team Coordination Meeting

  Decision Items

• A synopsis of what happened in the last town hall meeting will include a Google Doc link instead of a GitHub link. GitHub Documentation lags and Google Doc includes all necessary information too, including links to GitHub
• Add a 4-minute welcoming at the beginning of Town Hall. It always happens anyway
• We should have a Public Google Sheet to track the status of slides
• We keep communication addresses in different Sheet to protect the presenters' preferred method
• Include the After Town Hall presentation before the meet and greet breakout rooms
• Have a clear end of the Town Hall Slide, which helps to orient better. Also, it is easier to edit videos later.
• Bring more clarity on presentation expectations, but we will not enforce requirements
