Auvio - no sound #329

Describe the bug

A clear and concise description of what the bug is: Hello, I've seen that you added the DRM for Auvio, thanks very much for this because a lot of videos weren't working for a few days. However, I have an issue with the DRM. Video is good and at the begin I get the sound but after some seconds/minutes it show the "buffer wheel" and when the video resume, there is no more sound. If I stop the video and restart the same happens again. It's with KODI 18.7 and Catch-up tv & more V0.2.24-beta02 I have the same behavior with or without VPN (I'm based in Belgium)

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Start a direct from Belgium (la une, la deux or la trois). Everything will be fine. Video and sound are working
  2. wait some minutes that the buffer wheel appear
  3. wait that the video resume 4.you can't hear any sound anymore

Expected behavior

A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen: There should be sound like before the buffer wheel.

Actuel behavior

Tell us what happens instead: No sound is played but the video resume correctly

I didn't see it during my test with debug log. The issue appears later.

@SylvainCecchetto, could you please try with Kodi 19 and the fix of 6play ?

I will check for those other issues. The problem is on Kodi Side.

I am not able to reproduce the issue on Kodi 18.

ok so you don't have lost of audio after some time (me after 3 or 4 minutes) in Kodi 18. You need to test LaTrois.

LaUne is not protected by DRM I think just LaDeux and LaTrois.

Thank you, I was able to reproduce the issue on Kodi 18 with LaTrois.

On Kodi 19 I get a 403 error, I don't why...

Did you change the "item.property['inputstreamaddon'] = 'inputstream.adaptive'" by item.property['inputstream'] = 'inputstream.adaptive' compatible Kodi 19 ?

M6 still works with this config but not LaTrois :-/

I will try again later with more time.

It looks like I get a georestricted error... However I am connect to a Belgium VPN through my OS....

Ok you don't have the issue with Kodi 18. Maybe the website doesn't the call from Kodi 19. I don't know how to advance here because they will not provide a fix on Kodi 18 and the issue on Kodi 19 will not help because no return from the server.

I will try to install Kodi 19 on my side to see if I found something ....

No, I do not have this issue with Kodi 18. Same VPN connection and same code. The only difference is Kodi 19 nightly build with "beta" input stream adaptive add-on.

BTW, you will find latest inpustrream adaptive add-on here: https://jenkins.kodi.tv/view/Addons/job/peak3d/job/inputstream.adaptive/ (macOS Matrix artefact works with 6play for me).

On my side I've updated InputStream (I was still on 2.3.15) I'm now on 2.4.5. Still have the sound issue on Kodi 18 for Auvio but I confirm that M6 is fixed (it even work with Belgian IP...)

For M6, it is catchup tv or live TV ? If Live TV it can't work on my side on Kodi 18 and inputStream 2.4.5. If Live TV is ok on your side, can you share the whole debug log and your configuration (OS, where did you get kodi 18, ...) ? I think 6play not blocked content but the test of country is done on website level.

Thank you for all those informations. I understand you use a compiled from last git of leia branch. Since the release 2.4.5, there is the fix of M6 Live TV of Leia Branch but not release for the moment. It means it will work great on Kodi 18 for the next release of inputstream.adaptive !

@SylvainCecchetto, I didn't have the HTTP 403 on my side with the test windows 10 (virtualized), Kodi 19, I took all kodi19 branch of Codequick, Youtube-dl et CUTV & More In CUTV &More i just changed the code of rtbf to match the change regarding the DRM.

@Gaet81, we still have http 404 in Kodi 19 and no more sound. I think we need to open a ticket for Kodi side.

I think this issue is now fixed. I tested the fix given here and the audio seems to work even after some minutes.
