Prerequisite to #70. The new spec represents a major change to the way types and terms reference other types and terms. Hydra is only partially migrated to the new model. Finish this migration. Element types will probably be retained in case they are needed later (e.g. Go pointer types are similar), but the kernel models will no longer use them.
