Sorry, it's me again. There's another minor problem, the softhyphen. It's not used anymore today, instead the shaping engine would insert the normal hyphen character where appropriate. It should be removed from new fonts: https://github.com/googlefonts/fontbakery/issues/4095#issuecomment-1481735336
We're supposed to change our fontbakery check so that a softhyphen becomes a FAIL when it contains outlines.
So I removed it from the main sources and generated new GF fonts.
