Make a QGIS system for entrances #40

Open goatchurchprime opened 5 years ago

goatchurchprime commented 5 years ago

Create a process for generating the entrances data, possibly as a shapefile, with as much metadata as possible, so that it can be used in QGIS in conjunction with the DEM data.

This file should be regenerated whenever we find more entrances and add them to the loser svx data.

There is a case for inverting the process, and making the QGIS project file as the primary source, from which the loser/fixedpts are generated.

This would be particularly the case when we have our own drone-created 10cm resolution photogrametry model, and the position of features can be directly labelled.

I've started working on this - I think there's a lot to be said for this: "inverting the process, and making the QGIS project file as the primary source, from which the loser/fixedpts are generated"

and am happy to write a script that will export from a GIS file to a .svx file as a proof of concept
